Welcome to the Path of Sedir

Here, we journey into the heart of Norse-inspired magic and the sacred architecture of the soul. Sedir is not therapy; it is a path of deep spiritual work, healing, and self-discovery rooted in ancient tradition and practiced within the inner landscapes of the mind. This is a space for ritual, shadow work, and the restoration of your own innate power. Sedir is the place where you can perform rituals within your mind. It is the place in which we can reach into ourselves for shadow work, healing, and more.

You may notice that this spiritual work is presented separately from my clinical hypnosis practice. This separation is intentional and sacred.

What Is Sedir?

Sedir ( ‘seh-deer’) is an ancient Norse magical art, a craft of the soul focused on shaping and influencing one’s own fate and fortune. It is not a passive practice, but an active, intentional weaving of one’s inner reality. Sedir is a practice rooted in the soul and the Wyrd. Our connection to all things, the divine, and to the magic of the world. When one works with Sedir the use trance to weave the wyrd within themselves, their community, and beyond, to enact change in the world. It is not fate as some describe it. It is the process of bending yourself and the world to become something else, which can be as magical or mundane as you wish it to be.

Sedir remains a powerful method of deep inner work, using the focused, trance-like state of hypnosis to journey into the unseen realms of your own consciousness—the very landscape where your soul’s story is written. Think of it as a form of spiritual technology. While hypnosis provides the vehicle—a safe and focused state to bypass the critical mind—Sedir provides the map and the tools. It is a path for navigating your inner world with purpose, performing potent rituals, and engaging directly with the energies, archetypes, and spiritual allies that shape your life.

This is the work of the Völva, the seeress and practitioner who could journey between worlds to retrieve wisdom. It is also the work of the Sedirkona who healed the spirit, and influenced the threads of destiny. In our practice, you become that journeyer. Sedir teaches you to navigate your own inner worlds, commune with your personal spirit guides (your Fylgja), tend to the health of your soul’s parts, and perform ceremonies of release and empowerment from within the sacred temple of your own mind. It is a path for those who feel called to take an active role in their own spiritual evolution and become the conscious author of their own saga.

A Map of The Soul

The Norse tradition provides a rich and detailed map of the soul’s anatomy.

Understanding these parts of the self is fundamental to the work of Sedir,

as it allows us to diagnose imbalances and target our healing with precision.

Hugr

(Thought/Mind): The cognitive and analytical self.

Munr

(Memory): The part holding not just facts, but the emotional weight of the past.

The Vili

(Free Will): The part of the soul that chooses — It is the will that drives you forward.

The Ve

(Sixth Sense): The part that perceives beyond — It is your connection to the gods, the spirits, and the hidden currents of fate.

Modr

(Mood/Emotion): The part of the soul that feels — the tide that moves the heart.

Hamingja

(Luck/Ancestral Power): Inherited fortune and power flowing through a family line.

Megin

(Honor): forged through deeds — your strength, integrity, & reputation. It is not given, but earned through action.

Fylgja

(Guardian Spirit): guardian or guide, often reflecting one's true nature. It is your shadow self, your doppelgänger, your spiritual twin.

Hamr

(Energetic Body): Subtle energy surrounding & penetrating the body — the aura & energetic field. IIt is the shell that holds the spirit.

Líkamr

(Physical Body): The vessel that experiences the world through the senses and carries the soul. It is the temple, the home, the anchor.

The Work of Sedir

Healing in Sedir is not about fixing what’s broken — it’s about remembering what was always whole. About finding the pieces that are already there and putting them back together again. When intrusions take root, when soul pieces are lost or stolen, when the energetic body (Hamr) grows thin or torn — you are not damaged. You are fragmented. And fragmentation is not failure — it is a call to return.

Sedir is the art of reweaving.

  • Intrusions The dark energies that get attached to us. That hold us down and back. Sometimes they are blocks we have put in place and sometimes they are things we have let others attach to us through their words. Other times they are just negative, heavy energies or spirits that attach to us, stealing our energy. Our sense of self and power.
    • Extraction is not violence — it is liberation. It is the act of removing these energies regardless of their origin.
You do not fight the intrusion; you recognize its nature, sever its hold, and burn away the threads and pathways that are holding you back.

  • Soul Loss is what happens when we fracture or share a part of ourselves with others. There is sharing of mutual spark, the ways in which we connect to those around us in a positive way feeding each others needs and promoting growth. Then there is soul loss. This is the intentional or unintentional theft or breaking of our soul through our actions, fears, traumas, ect.
    • Soul Retrieval is not magic — it is memory. You do not summon what was never yours; you call back what was always yours — the part that hid to protect you, the part that fled from pain, the part that forgot its name. You go out into yourself and sometimes beyond to find, reconnect and reunite parts of yourself separated reharmonizing the body.

  • Inner Ritual is not performance — it is communion. You do not cast spells to change the world; you create sacred space to change yourself. You build altars not for gods, but for your own forgotten power. You light candles not to summon spirits, but to remind yourself that you are the flame. It is the process of moving beyond the need for physical tools and representation to feel and explore the divine and your magick. When you no longer need tools to perform rituals, you are free. You always have everything you need for magic in your mind. You no longer need money or the items, you just hold the memory and sensation of their presence and purpose in your mind.

This is not therapy. This is not religion. This is not self-help.

This is soulcraft.

Where Do We Go From Here?

You have walked this far —

you have seen the map of the self,

you have named the parts of the soul,

you have felt the weight of what has been lost

and the power of what can be reclaimed.

Now, choose your next step.

A sedirkona in her hut in trance as fumes waft from her cauldron before her.

This is not a path you follow.
It is a path you become.

Walk it. Weave it. Remember it.

You are already whole.
You are already home.
